Our clubhouse and Stirratt astroturf pitch
The club is based at Failand, just outside Bristol: our clubhouse on Longwood Lane, and our astroturf pitch a short walk away within the Bristol Grammar School grounds.
Clubhouse
Downstairs are the men's and women's changing rooms. Upstairs there's a licensed bar, plenty of space, and views over the rugby and cricket pitches — the hub for matchdays and training, and a place to socialise before and after games. Food at the clubhouse is provided by Pass Catering.
It's shared with the other two clubs that make up the Old Bristolians Sports Club, Rugby and Cricket.
The Stirratt Pitch
Our floodlit astroturf pitch was first laid in the summer of 1999, with the first match played that September, and relaid in the summer of 2016 to bring it up to date with the latest surface technology. It was funded through a three-year community fundraising campaign — see the full list of contributors who made it possible.
The pitch is used by Bristol Grammar School during the day in term time, and by us on Saturdays and Sunday mornings during the hockey season. Outside of that, anyone can book it at reasonable rates — see Pitch Hire below.
Pitch Hire
The astroturf pitch is available to hire outside of club training and fixtures. To request a booking, fill in the form below and our Fixtures Secretary will get back to you to confirm availability.
